Merry Christmas

Here in Idaho there's snow on the ground, adding to the wonderful wintry feel of the holiday season.

I love bringing out the Christmas quilts each year as each quilt has a story of its own, bringing back memories of some of the previous places where we've lived and where I made each quilt. During my husband's career in the Air Force we moved all over the world which provided us with some great memories. Winter in South Dakota? No problem, we made sure to have a parka for everyone in the family. Winter in Okinawa? No problem, we took our sons to the beach to search for seashells, to play in the surf and then we grilled hamburgers while watching the sun set over the ocean.

Here's hoping that this holiday season is filled with blessings for you and your family.

 Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

 Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th' angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem.

Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King.
Do you make resolutions for the new year? Some years I do and they're usually fitness related, but this year I want to change it up a bit.  In 2014 I'd like to stretch my wings artistically doing more fabric painting to use in quilts and more wool painting to knit with. And maybe, just maybe, knit myself a vest using handspun yarn from one of my spindles.

Here's hoping that 2014 brings you happiness, good health and fulfillment of your creative dreams.
Merry Christmas,
Judy

I see the woodman-ship Marshal is not your hubby.
Okay.

He is a man who does the work for you.

My mistake.
