The other day I discovered a new to me Christian rock radio station, Air1, which is located on the FM dial at 98.7 for listeners here in Boise. I've loved Christian rock since I was in high school, and it's been interesting to see how it's changed over the years. (I won't tell you exactly how many years it's been!) Air1 and Cure are teaming up to provide warm, hand knit (not crocheted) hats for children living in Afghanistan. They are asking for donations for hats ranging in sizes from newborn to 12 years old and you can find out more information about donating here. They are asking that the hats be postmarked by February 15, 2012. I know that is just a few weeks away, but I thought that I'd mention it to all of you as I know there must be other people out there like me with a bit, well truth be told, a lot, of yarn and the willingness to help kids in need.
There's a place to register to let them know that you are participating. The address to send hats is:
CURE International
Attn: Knit, Pray, Love
PO Box 199
Lemoyne, PA 17043
They are asking if you could provide a personal message with each hat that you send.
Knit on!

Yes Air1 is great! I wished I knew how to Knit. I think I will learn someday... I only know how to crochet.
